Our four courtyard rooms are ideal for those looking for bed and breakfast accommodation with a difference. Converted from the Mansion’s Welsh stone stable blocks, and an annex to the Mansion itself, these unique rooms are furnished to a high standard and offer a very individual experience. Each bedroom has been individually designed with en suite bathrooms tiled by designer Mike Francis. Oak furniture and bed linen by Melin Tregwynt. Our Courtyard accommodation is rated 4* by Visit Wales.

The dedicated parking area is close to the Courtyard, and one of the rooms has been refurbished to suit those with restricted mobility. Wi-Fi is available throughout. The Courtyard is tucked well away from Neuadd y Dderwen, which is around 100 metres away behind hedges and stone walls.

The Grounds

The grounds of the Mansion are available for guests to wander and enjoy, from the well maintained gardens to the Arboretum, you’ll enjoy a stroll around the 50 acres of the Rhosygilwen Estate.

For Groups

Rhosygilwen is a special place for small groups to stay, a luxury Pembrokeshire B&B, ideal for walking groups, nature lovers, book clubs, arts societies and other special interest groups.

At weekends, there are often musical events at Neuadd y Dderwen. Don’t worry – the courtyard rooms are tucked about 100m in a secluded niche, but it’s good to know after an exhilarating evening you don’t have to travel far to your room.

Guests usually enjoy the pubs and restaurants of the area, with Cardigan being just over 5 miles away. It may be possible to provide an evening meal for if you arrange this in advance of your stay: please contact us on 01239 841 387 to discuss your requirements.

The Courtyard Rooms

The Teifi Double

This double room is on the ground floor of the courtyard and is accessed directly off the courtyard up one 5″ step, making it accessible for those with limited mobility. The ensuite bathroom has a walk in shower, tiled in handmade tiles with a mural of the river Teifi at Cenarth. It has an oak floor and oak furniture. The room is painted in a faint pea green to reflect the valley and gorge through which our local river runs past 12th century Cilgerran Castle (1 mile away) and in to the sea in Cardigan or Aberteifi (its Welsh name).

The Red Dragon (Y Ddraig Goch)

This is a spacious room with full disabled access from the courtyard with en suite bathroom and disabled toilet. It has oak furniture and a carpeted floor with TV and iPod docking station and two armchairs.

The Preseli Room

This ground floor double room is located in the courtyard of Rhosygilwen. Access is via 4 steps, and the room is above Moylegrove, our single room. The two rooms together can be considered a single unit if required.

Moylegrove Single

This single room is accessed through a porch which is adjacent to the courtyard. En-suite shower room. The Moylegrove Room celebrates the crystal clear blue waters of our Pembrokeshire coast. Moylegrove has some of the most breathtakingly beautiful collection of cliffs in Wales and is about 15 mins by car from Rhosygilwen. Seals can often be seen here and the ensuite bathroom features a mural depicting the view from the coastal path.
